Course Description
A maker is anyone that uses their abilities to “make” or create. In this unique class, kids will learn to use a wide range of materials and techniques as they nurture their curiosity and desire to create something from nothing.
The Makers Space class gives students the freedom to explore their own interests and come up with projects on their own. Whether they’re building circuits or rollercoasters, researching how they’ll approach a project, or collaborating with one another, this course will guide constructive play as they bring ideas from imagination to life while nurturing a love of learning.
It doesn’t matter what you make, and it doesn’t matter why. The important thing is to keep making things. When students connect with one another in this endeavor, their ideas become much more than they are on their own. From asking questions and sharing ideas, students learn to work together to cultivate potential from the most basic materials.
PLEASE NOTE: All classes are subject to cancellation based on scheduled Nishimachi activities.
