GRAPHIC DESIGN

Interested in drawing, art, or design? In this class, you’ll learn how to use your doodling skills for real, by doing design projects for local nonprofits or small businesses. You will learn how to make professional posters and art that people want to pay for, and you’ll ultimately design posters and ads for real organizations with good causes. Our students’ work has been used in ads and online Instagram posts by the Special Olympics, Martha’s Kitchen, and local shelters.

Computers or tablets are required for this course.

Students should never ask ‘why am I learning this?’, especially not when they’re learning critical 21st-century skills like coding and graphic design. Students as young as 2nd grade learn through real-world projects. Working on our kid-friendly platform, they improve their social skills and learn the nuances of the coding and design worlds through building apps for local nonprofits, like the local animal shelter or library.  We help kids, schools and school districts make an impact and realize their potential! Our students learn how to tackle real-world problems, early.
