Let your child’s creativity shine in this fun and inspiring Saturday art program.
Designed for kids ages 5 and up, Art Club introduces students to a wide range of artistic techniques and materials, encouraging self-expression, fine motor development, and creative confidence.
Each class features a new project that blends technique with imagination. Students will learn about famous artists, explore interesting themes, and create their own masterpieces with hands-on guidance from our experienced instructors.
Whether your child is a first-time doodler or an advanced young artist, our small-group setting ensures everyone receives personalized instruction. We also group students by level when needed to make sure each child gets the most out of the program.
Art Materials: Watercolor, tempera, acrylic paint, glue, scissors, crayons, colored pencils, oil pastels, yarn, clay, and more
Techniques: Watercolor resist, glue art, blending, paper mâché, weaving, and 3D sculpting
Themes: Yarn monsters, fairy-tale portraits, forest animals, prehistoric cave drawings, pop art, and more
Artists: Yayoi Kusama, Paul Klee, Monet, Kandinsky, Thiebaud, Hundertwasser, and others
Teacher Karina is a professional artist and long-time educator who also leads SchoolTribe programs at the American School in Japan and other partner institutions. She is passionate about helping young learners explore their creativity in a supportive and engaging environment.
Please dress your child in clothes that can get a little messy. All art materials are provided.
My child’s never taken art before. Is that okay?
Absolutely! Art Club welcomes all levels. We group by experience when needed and provide 1-on-1 feedback to help every student thrive.
