Give your child an unforgettable winter break filled with discovery, creativity, and hands-on learning! Our Winter Camp invites young explorers in grades K5-G4 to dive into the wonders of winter, where science and art come together in thrilling ways.
Young explorers will dive into the wonders of winter!
Campers will uncover the amazing ways plants, animals, and humans interact with chilly environments, discovering the science behind adaptation, sustainability, and environmental care.
With hands-on projects, creative model-building, and engaging experiments, each day offers a fresh adventure, from exploring frozen flora to coding eco-friendly machines.
Together, we’ll learn, build, and imagine new ways to protect and appreciate the winter world!
Our Winter Camp is more than just a week of activities—it’s a journey that turns curiosity into discovery and exploration into skill-building. With every hands-on project, campers connect the day’s lessons to real-world challenges, learning about animals, climate change, and sustainable solutions that matter.
Imagine your child coming home each day with stories of the wildlife they “tracked,” the machines they coded, and the ecosystems they explored. By week’s end, they’re brimming with confidence, eager to share their capstone project and proud of their newfound knowledge. This is the camp where learning comes alive, fostering a love of exploration and creativity that will last well beyond winter break.
The alternative? A screen-based winter break, or the struggle to stay entertained without the thrill of discovery and hands-on projects. Give your child a camp that inspires them, and turn their winter break into a season of growth!
A visit to Ueno Zoological Gardens will give campers the chance to observe real-world examples of the concepts they explore at camp. Whether marveling at the adaptability of a rock ptarmigan or learning about the challenges facing common cormorants at Shinobazu Pond, the zoo provides a hands-on, immersive experience that complements classroom learning.
It transforms abstract ideas into tangible experiences, deepening campers’ understanding and sparking their passion for wildlife conservation and ecological stewardship.
This connection between the zoo’s mission and our curriculum ensures that a day at Ueno Zoo is not only educational but also an inspiring adventure for young minds.
